The load press option is a desirable feature when drying flatsawn boards which would tend to cup as they dry, owning to the orientation of the grain in the lumber. While a significant amount of weight ends up on the lower half of the load, the upper half may only have a few pounds per square inch. The load press applies the necessary force to hold lumber flat while drying.
Included with the press are the required pressure regulator and relief valve, which easily mount into the existing nipple.
