Kiln Capacity
Load capacities based on actual footage loaded onto 80" x 288" heating
plates (2 plates wide per layer), with 5.5" used for load cart and bottom
plate. Kiln size is 8'W x 6'H x 26'L. Maximum per load capacity of 6670 for 4/4 material, 7865 for 8/4 material.
Operating Cost
The heating and vacuum
pumps use approximately 249 kWh per day to operate. The heating
system needs to only support the heat of vaporization,
approximately 160,000 BTU/hr. The cooling system consists of a
cooling tower with required cooling water circulator pumps and a
cooling tower fan.
