Kiln Capacity
Load capacities based on actual footage loaded onto 40" x 288" heating
plates, with 5.5" used for load cart and bottom plate. Kiln size is
4'W x 4'H x 26'L. Maximum per load capacity of 2140 boardfeet for 4/4 material, 2565 boardfeet for 8/4 material.
Operating Cost
Vacuum and heating water
pumps are approximately 95 kWh per day to operate. The heating system
needs to only supply the heat of vaporization, approximately 50,000
BTU/hr. The cooling system consists of a cooling tower with required
cooling water circulation pumps and a cooling tower fan.
