Kiln Capacity
Load capacities based on actual footage loaded onto 40" x 288" OR 40" x 144" heating plates, with 5.5" used for load cart and bottom plate. Kiln size can be 4'W x 4'H x 14'L OR 4'W x 2'H x 26'L. Maximum per load capacity of 1060 and 850 boardfeet respectively for 4/4 material, 1280 and 1025 boardfeet respectively for 8/4 material.
Operating Cost
The VacDry 1.25, including appropriate cooling systems, requires approximately 76 kWh per day to operate. The heating system needs to only supply the heat of vaporization, approximately 30,000 BTU/hr. The cooling system consists of a cooling tower with required cooling water circulating pumps and cooling tower fan.
