Control All VacDry Kilns are controlled by the same control system . We build the control system that monitors and controls all of the important parameters in our vacuum drying process. The system is very easy to use. With the integrated computer interface , 24-hour historical logging is done by the computer. Plus, you can check or adjust your kilns from any computer anywhere on earth that has a phone line or internet connection. This control system and the 'PCS Wood Technology' gives you consistent drying results.
Design The vacuum kilns were designed with reliability foremost with value a
very close second. We use rugged components that are UL approved and
recognized internationally. Only basic maintenance is required, and
normal plant maintenance personnel can correct most problems. Our
extremely robust stainless steel chamber eliminates corrosion. All other metals are
corrosion resistant 6000 series aluminum or brass. Our heating plate extrusion is 50% thicker than our competition. Our doors are easily
manipulated, lightweight aluminum. They can be built to roll sideways
on a truss, be lifted straight up by a hoist or swing left (or right)
on sturdy hinges. The door seals are designed to be absolutely trouble
free, with no chafing or parallel stresses.
Utility For those companies with
multiple vacuum kilns, one plate size makes our vacuum grab for heating
plates a desirable option. Suction cups grab plates and a pneumatic
cylinder lifts plates for loading and unloading. One man can do the
work.
If you are drying lumber, we offer an option to apply weight to prevent cupping. A simple, lightweight and removable press can be used as needed when drying lumber that needs to be held flat. The press operates using atmospheric pressure with no moving parts.
For companies with multiple kilns and a level concrete floor, we have the ultimate cart transporter : air casters are a heavenly way to move wood. The steel skid, 24’ long, floats on a cushion of air. The transporter has no wheels so it needs no tracks for your fork trucks to go bumping across. One man can push a load as heavy as 30,000 lbs in any direction almost effortlessly, two men can easily guide an 8000 boardfoot load into the kiln.
